Natural, untreated construction materials

On the upper levels, the spaces are insulated first with wood fibres, followed by a layer of hemp. A layer of sheep’s wool directly below the panel cladding reinforces the insulating effect and makes a crucial contribution to defining the climate within the spaces.
All internal walls are clad with loam panels and plastered with loam. The inside of the exterior walls is clad with panelling. This moon wood is also sourced primarily from the Bachtel mountain, and partially from the Ricken pass. The wet areas of the WC/shower rooms are clad with quartzite.
Natural, untreated construction materials:
• Moon wood
• Loam
• Sheep’s wool
• Lime, oil, and silicate-based paints

Electrobiology

The entire building and the electrical cabling are shielded against electrical radiation. Mobile communications cannot be received. Through our electrobiological measures, good
electrobiological living conditions can be expected once construction is complete. Particular focus is placed on the tenants’ residential units. We are laying an earthing strip to ensure optimal earthing. We are intentionally foregoing the use of photovoltaic systems, as measures to achieve optimal protection were too expansive. The electrical supply to the building and the electrical distribution are positioned as such that they do not affect the private spaces. The private spaces feature shielding on the walls and floors, and electrical charge is discharged by means of field discharge with magnetic field compensation. An Internet connection is provided to all residential units with LAN cables, with no use of WLAN. Measurements in the surrounding area have shown
that there are no interference zones, including from antennae. As the façades are to be coated with insulating plaster and this requires a metal mesh, we will also earth this in order to shield against future electrical emissions.

Attic space

Because the concept and the materials comply with monument protection requirements, we have been able to extend the attic space, which now serves as a large lounge area.
